Two of my favorite images from Subway by Bruce Davidson.
I just got the Aperture edition of this book and it’s stunning. Real beauty comes out of the grit and filth that was the New York City subway system in 1980. If you’re looking to buy someone a photo book for the holidays definitely check this out.

Legendary Magnum photographer Bruce Davidson is re-releasing his book Subway this month.
If you’re in New York City this weekend, Davidson is doing an artist talk and Q&A at Milk Studios on Saturday. The event is free and there will be signed first editions of every book Davidson has published as well as signed copies of the new edition of Subway for purchase. Also, free drinks.
