Fanfuckingtastic, Eastern Fuck It, and Prick by Wayne White.

“Beauty is Embarrassing” is an inspiring documentary that peeks into the life and times of multidisciplinary artist and generally awesome dude Wayne White. You may not be familiar with White’s name but you’ve definitely encountered his work. He designed the set and puppets for Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and did a number of the voices. He also designed the art work for one of the best music videos of all-time: Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins. Over the past few years he’s been (perhaps unfairly) compared to Ed Ruscha for the paintings like the above pictured, which White finds at thrift stores and then paints contemporary text and phrases over in a 3-D font.
