The Revolution Will Not Be Liked. This piece is brilliant and hilarious (assuming you’re both familiar with Malcolm Gladwell and his recent piece in The New Yorker).

Apparently anyone who embraces social media or the digital tools at the disposal of the masses all believe the same thing: that this is the new order and it changes absolutely everything about the way humans interact. Who believes this? I certainly don’t, and I am a huge proponent of social media. It’s a tool that makes it easier for us to interact. I disagree with Gladwell’s assertion that it is a “weak-tie” only tool (meaning we only maintain trivial relationships through social platforms); I keep in touch with very good friends using social media. Essentially, Gladwell takes a subject, groups everyone on the opposite of his opinion into a tiny box impossible to get out of, and makes an argument that is repackaged nonsense that really tells the reader nothing at all (though they feel they have gleamed some great insight).

Also, what kind of person puts an umlaut over the o in coordinate? Oh right, this luddite shitbird.
