This is a great interview. Here are a few of my favourite bits :
Q: What’s heaven for you?
A: Me and my wife on Rte. 66 with a pot of coffee, a cheap guitar, pawnshop tape recorder in a Motel 6, and a car that runs good parked right by the door.
Q: What’s wrong with the world?
A: We are buried beneath the weight of information, which is being confused...

Our Local Correspondents: Up and Then Down : The... →
I was recently reminded of this great New Yorker article about elevators. In it tells the chilling story of Nicholas White, who was trapped in an elevator for forty-one hours in Manhattan. White subsequently went crazy and lost everything (including his job). See the video here.

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon: Neil Young performs a haunting cover of the Fresh Prince theme song and, just like that, my life is complete.
Also: A rift in the spacetime continuum.

Intervention of the Day: Comedian / con artist Skyler Stone decided to stage a “vampire intervention” for a group of rabid Twilight fans (is there any other kind?) under the guise of a special satellite screening of New Moon.
I’ll admit, it’s kinda on the mean side — but his heart is in the right place. See here for more on how the Twilight vampires are not vampires.

Best Wikipedia article ever?
i don’t let it out often but i think about zombies. a lot. best places to hole up, how to get supplies, how best to kill them. like i said i don’t geek out over it everywhere because you should never give out hints to potential zombies that you’re going to destroy their ilk and be the leader of a rag tag group of survivors that...
